North Crawford Playhouse Technical Improvement Initiative
North Crawford Playhouse has a long reputation of providing top-tier educational theatre programming for the students of the North Crawford School District. As we rebuild the theatre program after several years of disruption caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, we seek the support of our community in reaching new heights. Our lighting system is in dire need of refurbishment. The lighting control console and dimmer system were installed when the school was opened in 1992 and have not been upgraded since. The theatrical lighting fixtures were purchased used from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in the mid-1990s and are estimated to be at least 50 years old. This equipment has served us well through heavy use for several decades, but we are no longer able to maintain this equipment to engage in the rigorous and engaging storytelling for which NCP is known.
We need your support. The Playhouse endeavors to bypass our dated dimmers and replace our traditional incandescent fixtures with LED theatrical lighting. While there is considerable cost to this upgrade, we believe our program and our students are worth the investment. Please consider offering your financial support for this important initiative. Donations can be made to the district office during school hours or at NCP performances during intermission. Thank you for your generosity.
